We could even make that a first meeting. With his training obsession she could easily investigate the room he was using and notice that he does seem slightly demonic with the shadowed eyes and black lips. Add the royal scarring and I can see someone thinking he's a demon. Or at least an alien.
I'm sure you've seen how athletic he is when training. He cannot do much more than a very athletic human can do now. He can manage a single handless backflip, but he pays for it later. That alone can garner attention.
